Are you teated differently now that you have lost weight?

Have you noticed that people treat you differently now that you have lost weight?  I do and I don't like it.   I have worked for the same company for more than 15yrs.  and I know these people like family.  Sorry to say, that some "family members" never speak.  Don't know why, but I chalk it up to unhappiness within themselves.  Now, that I have lost some weight, they now approach me.  People offer to carry things, people bring my printed documents to me from the printer, pick up items that may have dropped onto the floor, people just offer to do things for me now.  Matter of fact, one such individual approached me and I kept on walking because I thought she was talking to someone behind me.  Turns out, she was talking to me.  She "now" has all kinds of conversation for me.  I have a problem with this.  I am the same person as before, just healthier.  Matter of fact, I would have appreciated her conversations and the others' actions before. 

"Before" was when I needed support and concern, as I was not feeling well.  Guess what peoples!  I don't need you now!!!  Don't get me wrong; I am not on a high horse now that I have lost weight, I just realize who has really been there for me. 

It's a shame that society judges people on such a crappy scale :-(

I must say NO I was never discriminated against because of my size. I have ALWAYS attracted men and if anyone treated me any different I never thought about it twice.

I have been at the same law-firm for almost 10 years and am the only person of color besides the guy in the mailroom. Now RACIAL discrimination I can go and on about that allllllll day long.

I have noticed the difference too.  I work for a very small company and I am the only black female in the company and industry in my state.  In fact there only a handful of women period so I stand out like a sore thumb.  The change from everyone is noticeable big time.  People are a trip.

You are right, I do have a choice to talk or not to talk to ones that discriminate.  I make it a point to treat others the way I want to be treated and I pass such mentality onto my children. 

Now that I "fit into different places", perhaps I can share some class with such underclass ones.

Tryna sort some shiot out in my head/life.  I'm in a rough, pissed off, mad ass moment - no need to drag yall needlessly into that, right?
